We aren’t talking about a muslim nation; we are talking about whether an American who is a professing Muslim should be denied employment with the government in a DHS capacity.
In my opinion, they should be evaluated on their individual merits, and not judged unfit because of their religion.
In normal times I would agree with you. In todays world, we need to pull back a little and evaluate what we are doing. What you are saying is, just because a guy robs one bank, doesn’t mean he’s going to rob another one. Or, just because muslims are attacking us, as they have, doesn’t mean that they will do it again. Or....on the battlefield.....just because our enemy isn’t shooting at us, we shouldn’t eliminate the threat of attack. I’m sorry, I can’t go along with that.
