The London Times has reported that Pope Benedict XVI will visit Britain next year. If this wonderful news is confirmed it will mark the first official visit by a Pope. Pope John Paul II made a pastoral visit in 1982. The Times reports that this historic visit will soon be confirmed by the Vatican. It will take place next September. Further, that during his time in the country, expected to take place in September next year, Pope Benedict will have a meeting with the Queen, Supreme Governor of the Church of England and will be accorded the full panoply of a state visit. It is possible the Pope will also stay with the Queen at Buckingham Palace. Gordon Brown extended a formal invitation during a private audience in February and preparations have been under way for some time

Time for America to get back to basics.
You may be right, but Europe is not America. It did not emerge with Godly men taught individualism by the stern exposure to natural law, conformed to collectivism only by socialistic, nihilistic usurpers. Don’t get me wrong: I’m not saying there was any godliness in the collectivism of Europe, but the collectiveness and godlessness aren’t as tightly linked as they are in America.
PLus European history has a history rich with the whores of kings running the countries. Given Zero in the White House, with all the celebrities getting these confidential meetings with Zero, we may have our own version of that soon.
Brings back memories of the last visit to England in 1982, when the golden yellow papal helicopter flew over my head as I was planting out brussels sprouts on my allotment. He was about to land on York racecourse for a papal mass.
