What a "striking example" to mention the words ... 'stereotype pigeonhole" ...
which is an ancient printing term, in a printing sense it was first coined in 1798.
It represents a printing object originally a duplicate impression of an original
typographical element used for printing instead of the original.
Maybe the killer was a printer ... because the "type" used
by printers is always worked while in the "upside down, and backwards" position.
