It's sad that the government didn't block off all the streets with riot police and start loading them on buses.
For crying out loud, people, that's SEDITION we're talking about here!
That's almost exactly how a couple of African friends (LEGAL immigrants) felt at the time. They thought the whole thing was crazy and the US was insane to tolerate such a protest. It would never be allowed in any other nation.
