Byron York makes the mistake of assuming that if Matt Latimer says Bush said something, he said it. Dana Perino and others who were in the White House have cast a lot of doubt on Latimer's reliability. For example, Bush had recently met Sarah Palin before she was picked as the Vice Presidential candidate, but Latimer tries to make it appear that Bush had no idea who she was ("Governor of Guam?").
It's the Scott McClellan syndrome--there's a surefire way to attack favorable media attention...make up stuff that makes President Bush look bad.

He is the DNC’s boogie man to blame for all of their current and up and coming failed policies.

In fact its been around for ages. Ain't that the truth! I was stationed in Germany during the late 70's. Never had a problem in the area that I lived in (small town).
Wellllllll...I now remember one instance. I was dining at one of my favorite places (wonderful cheeseburgers), and two teenagers were ranting about Americans. The owner was nervous, because he knew that I understood everything they were saying. I smiled at him and said, alles klar.
As I was leaving, I went over to the table and said in my best German, "you know, some Americans I know think some Germans are a$$holes, too!", with a smile, of course.
With a wink, I said tschuss to the owner, who was laughing his a$$ off.
