No, the nation might be going to Hell, but those of us who are really Christians will not!
This is a terrible day; my head is hurting from the speeches at the UN and then this legislation, along with the ongoing ACORN stuff and the shenanigans of the current Congress and president & his administration.
As my stepson said when he was 5 and had a bad day at kindergarten: my head hurts and I don’t feel so good, can I go to Heaven instead of school tomorrow? (Thankfully, he’s still here with us and not yet at home in Heaven—but ya gotta laugh at his innocent desire!)
Pass any law you want. I still do not have to accept the perversion of homosexuality!
If I cannot fire you for being a pervert then I can sure as hell find another reason to fire a pervert.
This is why I encourage social conservatives to be very careful in supporting "moral" legislation that is not aimed at protecting legitimate rights. Every expansion of government power is a precedent for further expansion, and there are always going to be people who want to expand the power of the government into areas you do not like. Who would have anticipated in the 1960's that Christian employers might face something like this? Perhaps a few individuals warned of this, but they were probably brushed aside as paranoid extremists by supporters of the civil rights legislation.
Once people think they have a "right" to employment and employers have to justify their personal decisions to the state, this is the kind of stuff you'll end up with. And this isn't the last of it, either.
I don’t believe that America should have any “protected” groups. The very idea is un-American. The Constitution + Bill of Rights “protect” us all - equally.

For later.
