Owe ya a taco or a banana....or what ever.
Thanks for the ping and a nice thread it is!
Seems that as of late, I have not had time to watch a race, let alone play on the thread.
There are 4 - FOUR - races that I will absolutely not miss.
The Monster Mile is one of those 4 races.
I told the Mrs long ago, "Your 'Honey Do' list takes a back seat to certain races and certain caliber's.
For example, when the 308 semi-auto arrives, my words were, "x-out Saturday morning - got serious bidness the boy and I need to tend to! The Gun-Powder God has spoken!"
'They are racing at Dover this weekend, dear.'..........
"This is a must watch and a 'Do not disturb' race."
The Nascar God's have spoken, so it is, so it shall be!
Funny thing I noticed......time to go shoot - I get up real early....xyl still sleeping.......life is good!.....30 miles out into the desert.
Time for the race........vacum / carpet cleaner / etc has to come out......
"Dearest wife, the Nascar God's are gonna get you!"
Long live 7.62 and .308!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
...and 9mm and 22LR......oh, and can't forget the xyl's 380...:)
I agree, the hustle & bustle around the house at race time is the primary reason I record races and watch them a couple of hours after start time.
Your solution is simple. Portable satellite dish, vehicle w/electric accessories, TV on the tail gate and you can plink away during commercials. You can reload during the race; you don’t have to worry about missing cautions as they always happen during the commercials.
You cannot, under any circumstances, shoot your TV!! It just ain’t right.
