Climate Change: To Energy Secretary Steven Chu, we are children who need parental help in grasping the threat of global warming. Beware of federal officials with superiority complexes.
"The American public . . . just like your teenage kids, aren't acting in a way that they should act," he said. "The American public has to really understand in their core how important this issue is."
Chu's handlers issued a statement later in the day insisting that their boss "was not comparing the public to teenagers." But he clearly was doing just that. The fact that his comment needed to be clarified indicates he realized he came off as condescending, not that he felt he'd been misunderstood.
If Chu is rankled by growing skepticism about the global warming alarms regularly sounded on the left, he'd be better off rethinking his own shallow position than questioning the maturity of the audience he seems bent on hectoring.
Such introspection might divert him to more productive activities such as convincing lawmakers that increased domestic oil drilling and energy field exploration are badly needed to promote the country's welfare. Isn't that the energy secretary's job?
Sadly, Chu's contempt for average Americans is nothing new in Washington, a town piled high with elitists who think their notions about how the rest should live are so important that they can force them on others.

Well, that’s the left for you. Arrogant, condescending, elitist scumbags who are convinced in their own little minds they are superior to the rest of mankind. It will be entertaining to see them implode and weep and wail and gnash their teeth when the SHTF and the day of reckoning comes.
Did Chu even learn in science that carbon dioxide is essential for plant life to live and grow? What the hell does he think they convert to oxygen for us, Obama’s good wishes?
Chu, give up YOUR lifestyle first, then we’ll follow suite. Like your boss say, America must lead by example. So you first.
Nope. He just likes to play with lasers.
Just what we need, another politician with a parental complex.
How is that we keep hiring these nimrods?
Fck Chu

Us bad bad Americans, we just won’t bend our will for the global climate change, hoax. BOW down Americans, you’re just not acting right....LMAO.
Sounds like your average tobaccophobe.
Just proof that an expert in subatomic particles does not necessarily have the common sense of a dormouse.
Screw you Chu.
How do you say screw you Chu in a language he would understand. Get the government off our backs. Period. If we live free and die, well, why can’t we? Why shouldn’t we. If the ones who are afraid want to live crappily to reduce carbon emissions, well, let them do it. I don’t want to change anything much, so why should I have to? Let the Algore types, and big Al, himself, diminish their lives not only to atone for their sins, but a little extra to make up for what I am not going to do willingly, nor, if forced, easily. Screw Chu, Obama too.
This planet has survived comet collisions, volcanic explosions, natural disasters and a higher oxygen level in the atmosphere and bounced back. Does he really think a CO2 is going to be the end of us?
Back in the early 1990’s one of our chemists and engineers went to a major conference on Global Warming held by the US Government.
One engineer there asked the question...”Compared to the Pinatubo Volcano eruption, how much man made pollution does the world produce in a year?”
The Government spokesman said...”About 5%.”
Some of the real engineers and chemists then laughed and got up and left the conference before it was over because they realized it was a joke.
Chuck you Fu.
So, how’s China doing with CO2 emissions, Chu?

This Chu clown needs a good slapping around for being such a sanctimonius twit. But, what could be expected out of an ivory tower elitist from Berkeley?
