Dems preview anti-Fiorina strategy (Carley, Meg Whitman? What the heck is the CaGoP smoking?)

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is message-testing with a web ad going after former Hewlett Packard boss Carla Fiorina -- highlighting her huge severance package and the 18,000 staff reductions she instituted to bolster profits and HP's stock price.

Fiorina has filed papers with the California elections board and is expected to challenge Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) next fall. Her cash, name recognition and ease on TV have gotten Democrats good and worried. A July Rasmussen Survey [take it with a grain] shows Boxer leading Fiorina by a 45-to-41 percent.

The first quote is from Fiorina herself from a recent TV interview: "Most people know me as, you now, she was the lady who got fired at Hewlett-Packard."

Then comes footage of Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) hitting a line of attack that will likely be the centerpiece of Democrats' strategy: "Carly Fiorina... she left Hewlett-Packard with a $45 million, including a $21.5 million severance package."

But...Fiorina is an enlightened moderate! Surely the liberals will join her in building "consensus" and solving our problems in the cooperative spirit of bipartisanship, right?

I just don't understand why they are going after her < /S >

The odd thing is that Carley’s strategy worked. HP went from a printer and mini computer manufacturer to the largest diversified IT company in the world. Bigger than IBM.

Yes, she pissed a lot of people off and fired a lot of people and outsourced a lot of jobs. But HP was sort of the GM of Silicon Valley, so a lot of that had to happen.

Fiorna got a big severence...yes, that trumps Boxer doing exactly nothing while the Central Valley was turned into a dust bowl because of the EPA trying to protect some tiny fish. Boxer’s party controls Congress and the White House yet neither she nor Feinstein can nor will get the EPA to ease up on their endangered species rules which are causing 40% unemployment rates in agriculture in California and leading to 34 water main breaks throughout Los Angeles caused experts believe by the water rationing the delta smelt protection is contributing to.

And Fiorna presided over 18,000 job cuts at HP? Once again, how does that trump Boxer presiding over 12.2% unemployment in California while she does nothing to help the business or economic environment in California, instead only showing up to protect abortion and to plug her latest idiotic novel?

attacking her for saving HP does not sound like a winning strategy for dems. Of course, it is extremely difficult for GOP to win in California, but I think she has a small chance, if ACORN gets distracted.

People even in CA seem to be full of taxes and Obama policies, at least by 2010.

Barbara Boxer is a complete and utter buffoon and moron and did not deserve to be elected in the first place. She has become a real embarrassment among many other Congressional liberals.
