If you can accurately predict your opponents' countermove and be prepared for it you can crush your opponent. The best example so far is the ACORN videos. They claimed it was an isolated incident, so the producer released videos from more locations that he had already filmed. They claimed the videos were edited and the raw video was released. If he hadn't expected the claim that it was only one location or waited for it to be made before he filmed other locations they would never have given advise on how to build a tax free whorehouse on video.
That's one problem with the Republican Party - even when they do hit, they seem completely surprised that the Dems fight back and aren't prepared when the Dems go into the same canned responses they always do.
This is my biggest bitch with the GOP. Whenever you engage the enemy, whether it be a Democrat official, the media, or a liberal activist, you always walk in with a plan to funnel them to your end game via move/countermove. You never walk in unprepared. That’s what we always do and why we generally lose.
