What did BOR have going Wed night that he drew such a huge audience?
Wow! All those numbers are screaming for Fox. Bret B. closing in on 3 million?
Even if you add all of the viewers of the fringe media channels together, you still fall far short of the Fox viewership.
Simple math:
ABCNNBCBS does not equal FOX!
Let’s also wonder how they weigh the airport terminal TV’s all being tuned to HLN/Airport channel. I’d be very curious what that skewed number is.
Nielsen Cable Network Coverage Estimates (as of September, 2009)
CNN/HLN: 98.63 million HHs
CNBC: 97.13 million HHs
FNC: 94.82 million HHs
MSNBC: 93.00 million HHs
Why is FNC rated so low on this?
Those are the number of households that have the ability to tune in those channels.
Some cable companies put Fox News on a more premium tier than CNN, so CNN has more households.
The disparity used to be much worse. Good to see FNC is nearly universal now.
Here is a guess.......Beck.
exactly. I had to pay a little more with DISH a couple years ago to get them. CNN was in their basic package, next step up included FOX.
Glenn Beck’s 3rd 3 million week. Just astonishing. He is rewriting the record books for the 5pm hour.
I Beck and BOR switched time slots BOR would be off the air in a month and Beck would OWN prime time!
What a week for Cable News in general. Olbermann got 30% higher ratings than his average. Everyone was up. Joe Wilson effect?
I think that’s how many households have access to each channel. CNN still has better coverage but nobody is watching!
I travel a lot and not every hotel/market still carries FNC. I'm yet to find one that doesn't carry both CNN and PMSNBC. You can't measure the performance of a product when the product isn't available!

Similar issue, does EVERY cable system carry FNC yet in their basic package?
Charlie Ergen (owner of DISH) is a bleeding heart democrat. He held a fund raiser at his house for Hilary a few years back.
I work nights at IBM in Boulder, Co...these shmucks have CNN on all the time (can’t have any diversity with Fox News, don’tcha know, because they are so ‘far right’)...anyway, thank God the sound is muted, but I can still see some of their nonsense...the other night they had an ad that claimed they had a bigger audience than ‘MSNBC & Fox combined’...how do these liars get away with this?
Cool way to write it. Kudos
thanks for the info
