I would argue that tatoos were forbidden based on what they were at that time, specifically they were markings to honor and worship false gods. The same goes for cutting oneself. In the account of Elijah taunting the prophets of baal - they danced around the alter and cut themselves (no fire came). If Deut 14:1 is universally applied it is a prohibition against all surgery. One could argue sin for a mistake whle cooking dinner (you can see that taking something too far becomes absurd). Also, even if "no tatoos" were simply a prohibition on marking one's body I do not think one can decide to extend that to implants without a lot more biblical information.

1 Cor 3:16 is supporting of 1 Cor 6:19-20. But neither of them do more that state we are to treat are bodies properly as a temple of the Holy Spirit that God has given to live in us through Christ. Without a clear mandate that a thing is wrong I contend that we have liberty as described by Paul.

Agree completely. But it offers no support at all to what you have contended. How exactly do you know that she doesn’t fear the Lord? Instead of accusing her of inappropriate actions perhaps you should be praising her. It is so according to this proverb as far as you know.

It was intended to be humorous, as already stated elsewhere. It was mildly contentious, but no more contentious than disagreeing with you regarding your statements. That was how it was intended, and if you don’t know that you should. (and no, don’t even try to think you can support an argument re: contentiousness)

I still think this is all about your own self created moral box that you claim is scriptural. If it was disrespectful (and I do not think it was) it was not disrespectful to you unless you are God. So far your posts have suggested that you seem to think you have license to judge in His stead.

I'm confused...how can you say you agree but contend that I offer no support?

If she fears the Lord, why does she offer her body in temptation? Cleopatra, Delilah comes to mind.

My original argument was that she should not hold up a certain value system when she violates the other tenants from the same book, it's an obvious hypocrisy and I cannot in good conscious get behind her.

Why, would I engage in a conversation with someone who has no incling what so ever of what the Bible says regarding women tempting men with their body and not their heart and soul?

You have no idea what I know or do not know about scripture.

As for what you know, It almost sounds as if you believe burkas would be a good idea. Then no men would be tempted by a woman’s body. I am really getting the impression that you are projecting your own guilt over unresolved lust. As christians the responsibility is ours to control our eyes and control our minds. We have the power of Christ through the Holy Spirit to do so, but it is easy to ignore that power and obey our flesh. None of that means we have a right to remove anothers freedom under God or the constitution in order to make self control easier.

Incidentally, I would be grateful if you would reference what scripture you are referring to in yet another of your "this is what scripture says" statements. So far in all of your posts I have seen one scripture reference, and it supported nothing you have stated.

Your Comment #69 was pulled. I responded to you in my post #75. I will not repeat what you said, but it was abusive and contained profanity. You now say you "can't imagine" what got yanked? You are either a liar or you need to change whatever meds or drugs of choice you are using.
