With respect to the military and foreign policy, the executive is paramount in practical terms, and the Congress, even if it were of a mind to complain about Obama's destruction of our defenses (and the Congress isn't), there's not much that they can do practically speaking.
It's going to be a long, long three years and five months, and Obama was right about one thing: we will be a vastly changed country. Sadly, the changes will be only those that diminish our great country.
