President Barack Obama, acknowledging trouble in "breaking through'' to the American public with his proposal for a health-care overhaul, made an unprecedented public push today with a series of nationally broadcast television interviews.
After months of pressing Congress for an overhaul of the nation's health insurance, and making his case to a national audience in a televised address to a joint session of Congress, Obama today took his case to a network-sweeping round of Sunday talk show appearances.
In one interview aired this morning, ABC News' George Stephanopoulos asked the president if he had confronted any situation yet in which he said to himself, ''Wow, I'm going to have to step up my game.''
"There have been times where I have said, 'I've got to step up my game in terms of talking to the American people about issues like health care,''' Obama said. "During this whole health care debate... there have been times where I've... not so much lost control, but where I've said to myself, 'Somehow I'm not breaking through...'
"This has been a sufficiently tough, complicated issue with so many moving parts that, you know, no matter how much I've... tried to keep it digestible, you know, it's very hard for people to get their... whole arms round it,'' Obama told Stephanopoulos. "And that's been a case where I have been humbled and I just keep on trying harder, because I -- I really think it's the right thing to do for the country.''

You’ve broken through, don’t you worry.
You’ve even broken through to some of my liberal friends and acquaintances. They’re seeing the light- they are dismayed and feel betrayed.

He’s having trouble selling Obamacare the same way a greasy car used car salesman has trouble selling a clunker. The car has significant mileage on it (hi Medicare), the salesman doesn’t know any specific details about it and the customer suspects it will cost much more than the salesman is saying it will.

Let's see: he describes the Health Reform issue as:
- tough
- complicated
- having many moving parts
- barely digestible
- with people getting their "whole arms round it."
What a visual. What a dog's-breakfast of a mixed metaphor.
Anybody want to try to illustrate that with a photoshop image? Come, on FReeper graphic talent!

Both 0bama and the guests discussing Health Care Reform mentioned the main problem is that many patients can not pay and that costs are therefore increased for those who do pay.
Well, there is a simple solution for that. Authorize hospitals to not treat those who can’t or won’t pay.
Currently, no hospitial in the USA can legally refuse treatment. Changing this along with tort reform is the only Health Care Reform needed.
Just let the medical profession be run like any other business. Require people to be responsible for themselves. Problem solved.

It is difficult to “break through” to mainstream America once exposed as a liar and Marxist. The only direction from here on is down. As more unaware become awakened, all you will have remaining will be your extreme left kooks and the perpetually ignorant.

Obama: "somehow not breaking through" Yeah..... arrogant, condescending, pompous a-holes tend to have that problem.

He’s got it backwards. His health care reform message HAS gotten through. That’s why it’s so unpopular.

His arrogance continues to amaze. He truly believes he is indestructable as to his plans to change our country into what he and his cronies want...Unites States of Socialist America.

United States of America.....oh, no...my age is showing! I will be put first in the line to go to the desert to cut out my Medicare benefits! Oh, WOE.

Oh, obamababy, you broke through all right...you're marathon TV speeches have "done you in" on healthcare.
Unfortunately for you, there are still plenty of us around who went to school when they actually taught you to READ...and we have read the bill, and it ain't cuttin' it.
If the idiot was going to make healthcare his centerpeice, he should have done it before all the bailouts, takeovers, and ACORN supporting. We now have a crystal clear picture of WHO Barack Obama is, and he ain't what was advertised...
If - BHO - you define "not breaking through" as a failure to make us understand your bill, then you're wrong...your porblem is, we DO understand your bill and we understand what you are trying to do with it...and we ain't buying it.
Americans revolted against prohibition, they revolted until the law was rescinded; and they will revolt against mandatory socialized medicine - it's a flop, has been everywhere it has been tried, the world over. If you were as bright as your obamabots claim you are, you'd see that.
I this is more about you wanting to "out-do" the clintons than anything else - your hyper-inflated ego is going to take down the greatest healthcare system ever known.
Yep, commiebama IS getting through, LOUD AND CLEAR, and therein lies the problem...because the problem is he LIES.

Thanks for posting the article. The reporter did a good job of conveying what was discussed, without inserting opinion.
However, I’m not as good, so here’s mine.
What they would have said, if THEY COULDN’T LIE.
In one interview aired this morning, ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos asked the president if he had confronted any situation yet in which he said to himself, ‘’Wow, I’m going to have to step up my game.’’
Obama said, “I’ve been trying to ram the health care bill down the throats of the public so hard that they are choking. So, I’m gonna have to ram a little harder.”
Obama, told that Senate Republicans believe they are “winning’’ the health-care debate, said with a smile during his interview on CNN’s State of the Union: “They said they were winning the election, too. But they were to lazy or dumb and didn’t catch on that we had it well rigged. We have this rigged as well.”
“And if I don’t feel like it is a good deal for the American people, then I won’t sign a bill....(oops, they’ve already seen through that, better change the subject)... This is hard.... You know, one of the things I’ve always said is, if this had... been easy, it would have been taken care of by Teddy Roosevelt.’’
The easiest way to get 15 minutes on the news, or your 15 minutes of fame, is to order the networks to carry your speeches, like I do.
“Nobody (except those I so choose)is above the law,’’ Obama said in his CNN interview.
I could go on, and on, as it is a long article. But I suspect that everyone else can read between the lines like I have.
