Following a music-packed summer, another former star to visit Israel to give one concert in Tel Aviv's Nokia Arena. Anka became famous in the 50s for his hits 'Diana,' 'You Are My Destiny,' 'Put Your Head on My Shoulder' and others. This will be Anka's first time performing in Israel Raz Shechnik
After all the tickets sold out for Leonard Cohen and Julio Iglesias, 50s teen idol, Paul Anka, announced that he is coming it Israel. Though first considering scheduling a show in August, Anka finally closed on November 11 for the date of his only performance in the Holy Land. The concert will take place in Tel Aviv's Nokia Arena and will be Anka's first time performing in Israel.
Anka, 68, was born in Canada and appeared on US top music charts at the tender age of 16. By the end of the 60s, he had sold more than 100 million records. Israelis may know his music from the Eskimo Limon movies. Among his biggest hits are "You Are My Destiny," "Put Your Head On My Shoulder," "Diana," and others.

His most lasting mark on the music world, Anka made when he wrote the words for "My Way," originally a little-known French song, that he gave to Frank Sinatra, who made the ballad into an anthem. Ever since, the song has been covered by hundreds of artists, including Elvis Presley.
In the 70s, Anka started performing in Las Vegas, paving the way for other artists who came to the city to perform daily in the city's hotels.
Anka has not produced any major albums in recent years, and has instead focused on cover songs, some of current artists. Anka is being brought to Israel by managers Shmuel Tsemach and his son Yoav.
