Georgia Polls: Obama Losing Black Support (nteresting)
Newsmax ^ | 09/06/2009 | Matt Towery

It's just one state. But it’s one of the centers of African-American culture and influence in the nation. Atlanta, with nearly 6 million residents in its metro area, is home to hundreds of top black musicians and other entertainers, civil rights leaders, and business entrepreneurs. Janet Jackson, Usher, Tyler Perry, and Andrew Young are just a handful of the many big names that can be found moving about the Georgia city on a given day. That's why I was startled when our firm, InsiderAdvantage, conducted this past week two separate surveys about various issues for corporate clients in the area. Both polls were conducted on the same night. To keep phone respondents on the line while the poll quizzed them on rather mundane subjects, they were told they'd be given a chance during the questioning to offer an opinion on the job performances of certain political leaders. I was shocked when one survey showed President Barack Obama with a disapproval rating of 35 percent among African Americans in Georgia, while the second one had it at 38 percent. Those two results are statistically identical, as both polls had margins of error of plus or minus 4 percent.

“Yet nary a word is heard from the black caucus.”
Au Contraire. They haven't been silent at all. Since they are filled with racist communist organizers, they are unhappy that Obama hasn't gone hard left enough for them, i.e. they'll vote against any health care bill that doesn't have a “strong public option”.
The mere fact that we have a caucus based on race in this country is itself prima facie evidence of institutionalized racism, though it's the minorities that are the racists.

Maybe black folks are finally waking up to the reality that liberals and democrats are not their friends at all but in fact their new slavemasters, their new enemies, the ones that are keeping them in their place so to speak, the ones that are robbing them of the opportunities they need to succeed, to grow, to prosper just like the rest of us. This is the basic difference between conservatism and liberalism. Liberalism is socialism and communism combined to bring everybody down to the same level, not to raise people up and out of poverty but to keep everybody equal even if it means using racism and class warfare as tools and lies to make it all happen whereas conservatism renews the values, the traditions, the principles of our founding fathers that all men should have equal opportunity for progress, advancement and prosperity. The liberalism cause can only succeed and advance through lies, deception, corruption and bribery. If liberals actually told the truth about what they truly believe, there would not be a single liberal that would ever get elected to any office in this land. This is one reason why liberals are so fond of the practice of abortion which is in itself a kind of racial genocide because the largest number of aborted babies are minority babies. That is why liberalism discounts and disdains such ideas as patriotism and belief in God, and the Christian religion specifically. Of course with that opportunity comes personal responsibility, a work ethic, accountability and a will to overcome obstacles in a positive manner.

I’m embarrassed to admit this but the first comment I wanted to make was gonna be derogatory...something along the lines of “They’ve turned on Obama because they haven’t received any checks in the mail yet.”

But, thinking about it, I realize, alot of people actually know right from wrong...regardless of their skin color. Many in the black population were willing to give Obama a chance regardless of his previous affiliations or stated views...just as a lot of voters were willing to do. Face it, the man is persuasive. Black people had high hopes for Obama (just as I did for GWB), that failed to pan out (just as my hopes for GWB failed to pan out).

And now, realizing the mistake they made, they’ve changed their minds (...just as I did with GWB). While the man’s skin color may still be the ONLY factor for many in the black community, many realize the USA is a great country to live in and Obama is doing all he can to destroy this country.

True. One-third of the country are already minorities, as defined by the USG.

Somewhat surprising, but the 97% vote margin for this segment of the Baraqqi coalition won’t go away next time.

You are exactly right! They will pacify these clowns before the 2012 election although the midterms could be a disaster for the dems.

Exactly.

I mentioned in my earlier comment that GWB had disappointed me...but, if given the chance to replay the tape, even knowing what I know now...I would/could NOT have voted for Kerry or Gore.

Too bad it always seems to be a choice between the lesser of two evils.

(Note: I’m conservative but registered unafilliated.)

Nary a word is heard from the black caucus on unemployment or the importation of over 125,000 LEGAL FOREIGN WORKERS A MONTH. The Hispanic caucus has also been silent re unemployment with the Hispanic unemployment rate at 13%.

Speaking of the elections in 2012, anyone want to bet that if BO loses, there’s going to be riots?

I can’t say if these polls are accurate even though I live in Atlanta.

But we’re having a mayoral election in Nov. I’ve never experienced such a quiet campaign, no “get out the vote” excitement.

The major candidates are two blacks, Kasim Reed and Lisa Borders, and a white candidate, Mary Norwood.

Since the two black candidates will split the black vote, it appears Mary Norwood will win the election. And if it goes into a run-off Mary will definitely win.

This will be a major political sift in Atlanta. We’ve had a black mayor in office for the past 35 years.

Maybe this plus the poor performance of O is affecting the polling in Atlanta.

Well, being a southerner, what I’m going to say will be dismissed by some, out of tired old regional and racial stereotypes.

An excellent observation! I too have been around black folks since my military days and I agree with much of what you are saying. However I work with many God-fearing blacks who idolized Michael Jackson and think Obama is an answer from God for the black folks. There isn’t a Republican alive who will take their vote away from the fraud occupying the WH. It’s a damn shame but that is what we’re dealing with.

>> If true, it is because he is not more Liberal <<

Probably a big factor, although I think we can be sure that something less than 100% of the "non-supporitive" black voters will fall into the he's-not-liberal-enough category.

Nevertheless, if a large number of African-Americans become lukewarm to the Big Ø for any reason, then black turnout is likely to fall significantly for the 2012 election. And that can only be a very good sign for the 'Pub side of the political spectrum.

I find this hard to believe. I think 0bama will easily get 97% or more of the black vote in 2012.

It may be that they see their hero is going to be reaching into THEIR pockets along with everyone else.

They are beginning to understand the forked tongue promise of "I will not raise your payroll taxes." didn't mean he wouldn't raise/put taxes on everything you touch.

They buy cigarettes, soda and such. They will be hit with an insurance premium - or fine - of thousands of dollars, etc. Many of them understand the double-speak of tens of thousands without insurance does NOT mean they are without medical care - in any hospital in the country - free.

And just wait until after Jan. when they let the Bush tax cuts expire. They're just as smart as anyone else. When they see those extra dollars out of their pay checks at the same time every other avenue of the economy is pinching them, they'll realize they bought snake oil.

Many of them may even become MORE against him than whites who oppose him on policy grounds, because they will feel personally betrayed.

The black population is about, what, 17%. Add that to, if ACORN and affiliates are REALLY defunded and/or at least not allowed near the 2010 census or "getting out the vote" - we may well see a truer picture of the voter breakdown, indicated by signs such as the overwhelming higher viewing/listening to FOX and conservative radio.

Without their hands in the ballot boxes, the socialists - well, I was going to say they are in for a rude awakening, but they already know they're out numbered. That's why they've been so steeped in voter fraud. They won't be surprised. They know the real dynamics.

It may be fun watching them trying to end-run the new developments. But with Beck and FOX and Rush et al on a roll - and, I hope, more REAL investigating reporting like our 2 young heroes just pulled off, they will find fewer dark corners in which to continue their shenanigans.

This country is very special to the "Great Spirit" - I feel His hand at work. Prayers up.

It’s simple: Part of why zero got 97% of the black vote is that the black media has been and remains even more in the tank for zero than the SRM (State Run Media). They got sold a bill of goods, too, but moreso. Now a significant part of that demographic is waking up. Remember, the vast majority of blacks are just regular people trying to get by in a caustic culture. They’re not all poverty pimps, race baiters, rappers, punks, thugs, Maxine Waters, Al Sharptons, Jesse Jacksons, etc. They are also probably more aware than non-blacks how utterly full of it those “high-profile” people and the black media are.

So it’s wake-up time all around. That’s a GREAT thing!

PS I hope this isn’t taken the wrong way. Thanks to zero setting back race relations at least 50 years, I fear that stereotypes of most blacks being poverty pimps, race baiters, rappers, punks, thugs, etc. have become common. Heck, I’ve seen it. But they’re not, as stated above.

PPS Want a real.shocker? Watch the “black media” such as BET and it’s ilk. You think the alphabet networks are bad? You haven’t seen ANYTHING!

>> There are too many groups where he garners nearly unanimous votes <<

Yes, but if they get discouraged about Barry, many of them won’t turn out to vote.

In the meantime, enthusiasm among Barry’s opponents may reach an all-time high. And it’s this very “enthusiasm gap” that could well determine the outcome of the 2012 election.

“Nary a word is heard from the black caucus on unemployment.”
True, but there’s a reason for that. They own the problem, and they are not interested in employment, they want reparations and welfare programs, not jobs.

What, it dropped from 98 to 96%.. I guess when they updated the voter roles and all the dead voters and felons were dropped off, that could account for the drop.
