"By avoiding some of the overhead that gets eaten up at private companies by profits, excessive administrative costs and executive salaries, it could provide a good deal for consumers."

If an executive told a CEO something that stupid, his career would be over.

Taxpayers won’t be subsidizing the public option, the president insisted to Congress last week: “By avoiding some of the overhead that gets eaten up at private companies by profits, excessive administrative costs and executive salaries, it could provide a good deal for consumers.”

Well, I know the left will call me a racist, but with the government $12,000,000,000,000 in debt, why is is Obama thinks they will be able to do better than the private sector. Especially since the government is pretty much a monopoly.

We need to vote people in who will cut - not increase - government involvement in everything that the private sector could be doing. The only way to get smaller government is to actually make it smaller.

What, 0 found a whole section of people who will work for free?

Oh, it isn't for profit, it's the government, 'for profit' only applies when you can't print your own money?

And the truly agonizing thing is that there is a HUGE number of Americans who must believe this m0ronic nonsense, because they don't believe it's a deliberate deception.
