RE: “O”Reilly is a populist phony, not a conservative”

**********

True, BOR is no conservative — I’ve only seen BOR on Fox a short while now as until the digital TV change, I had NO cable. Heard him on radio a few times and was unimpressed.

But now that I’ve been watching a bit — I find him interesting in that he constantly makes such a huge point of the ‘fair and balanced’ thing. He wears it like a badge of honor. He probably does play both sides in his everyday life but I suspect he is a little more to the right than is obvious on TV.

Like many, I wish they’d put Beck in BOR’s time slot, but I think Fox should keep BOR if only to stay consistent with the fair and balanced message. If BOR throws a bone to Obama and cronies once in awhile the left just can’t say Fox is rabid right all the time.

A populist phony BOR may be, but he performs a service for
Fox in tempering the more strident messages the rest of agree with and want to hear...

He also brings in a few on-the-fence Dems (I know a few who really like BOR) and that gets at least SOME of our message to them.

In sum, I tolerate BOR and his messages but wish they’d give him the late timeslot.

Yeah, I always figured BOR to be a "switch-hitter"
