They have no standing to sue. In Maryland it is indeed illegal to tape a conversation without both party’s knowledge, except that ACORN’s business license wasn’t current there. No problem, they can just pay a fine and get it restored, except that they have lost any chance to sue someone while the license was not current.

Linda Trippe was using her own phone.
If that was the case for phone calls that are recorded by those who own the phone illegal, then, phone call recorders in Maryland would be banned.
Has anyone ever had a phone call, the Phone Machine answers it while your on your way to pick it up ? .... even 30 seconds before you pick it up, the call was being recorded ?
How Maryland make it illegal if it was a phone machine that picked up a call and recorded it ?
Phone Machines in Maryland are legal.
James and Hannah was using their own cam, it was not a 3rd party intercept.
