Good for you! I’m glad to know that my alma mater isn’t entirely made up of liberal profs. From reading The Exponent online, it appears that many are not happy about Ayers coming to campus-I hope there will be a big turnout to protest.
I fail to see how my statement presented any error, kind sir. Please enlighten me. Adverbs may appear in any part of a given sentence.
Please ignore my post #22. I misconstrued your previous post as a dig at my grammar usage in my statement. After rereading your post I realized that you were simply noting the fact that my challenging the administration is a gutsy move. Forgive my momentary lapse of reason, it is still too early yet to function at full capacity...;-)
I am definitely not awake yet...lol. I MEANT to say "After reading your post,..." I also meant to say later in my response, "reason; it..."
Geez, I am definitely needing that first cup of coffee before I attempt any more posting!!! ;-)
Didn't leave anything out, did they? And a rich white man is lecturing.
Thanks for all the great posts. It looks like I will be able to make it to the protest. There is no real chance to get into the lecture, as it is a very small room.
Does anyone out there have any good sign suggestions?
There's always the education slant:
Hey, Bill - Leave no bomb behind
Or:
Purdue 'Ayers' the dirty laundry
Purdue Alumni Association (765) 494-5175 ...
UPDATE:
“Select departments of Purdue University faculty, staff and students will be the only people eligible to attend a talk this week by Bill Ayers.”
“Purdue officials said the Ayers’ talk, was never intended for an audience outside of certain academic fields that the lecture series touches on.
Several groups already had said they planned to protest Ayers’ speech.”
Sounds like the administration is sensing “unrest”.
Excellent!

Here is a good sign idea.
Obama: Judge me by the people with whom I surround myself
Make signs - Check
Buy Flags - Check
Ready for action - Check
It looks like there will be light rain, so bring a raincoat.
Parking should be available in the University Street parking garage, after 5PM is free.
