Between rampant nuclear insecurity, proliferation, financial waste, corruption across most of the Third World — despite billions of dollars and empty talk over decades — the post-WWII financial and security arrangements (embodied in the institutions of the UN, World Bank, IMF, etc.) have all failed on a massive, catastrophic scale.
Oh, I forgot NATO. It might well as not exist as far as much of Eastern Europe is concerned, as many Eastern Europeans have found out today.
