The main mob turncoat against ex-Gambino boss John A. (Junior) Gotti has identified 11 cops as being crooked - including storied ex-NYPD detective Bo Dietl. The stunning charges appeared in an explosive FBI report on police corruption in August, with the damning charges coming from Gambino hitman John Alite. Dietl, a frequent quest on the Don Imus radio program and a high-profile private detective, fed information to the Gambinos from the mid-to-late 1980s, Alite told the FBI. An angry Dietl denounced the charges Thursday, saying Alite was a "f------ liar" who had never met him. "On the job or retired, I never took a dime from anyone," Dietl said Thursday. "I was not some corrupt cop." Alite claimed the highly-decorated cop identified informants for the brutal crime family and provided information on pending cases. Dietl met with one of Junior Gotti's relatives, who paid the ex-detective off at a car wash in the Ozone Park section of Queens, the report charged. Dietl's career as a cop was made into a movie, "One Tough Cop," starring Stephen Baldwin. He retired from the NYPD in 1985. Alite - who claimed he had an affair with Junior's sister Victoria - was best friends with the younger Gotti for a decade before a 2003 falling out. He's expected to testify in Gotti's federal racketeering trial, which begins Monday in Manhattan. The information from the cooperating witness could help Alite shave years off his prison sentence.

I believe Bo, not this rat who would sell his mother for 2 bits.
Not your fault, but no wonder the Democrat Press Corps are dying. What a convoluted headline! Here’s a better attempt:
John Alite Implicates Imus Sidekick Bo Dietl in John Gotti Jr. Probe
Course Bo was retired by the MID 80s ( that’s 1985 for the FBU stoops). IF ( and I say the story is BS) the sotry is true they are claiming that info was given by Bo AFTER he retired ( mid to late 80s). What a tool.
Throw enough mud and some might stick somewhere
Never trust a cop who loves the limelight.
The Daily News has updated its original story to include additional responses from some of the cops whom Alite has accused:
Retired NYPD Officer John Hamburger, accused by Alite of feeding information to John Gotti Sr., said he once busted the mob turncoat for stealing a Cadillac. “He was a good liar then,” Hamburger said. “Sounds like he still is.” * * * Alite claimed Dietl hired Barrone after the latter left the department - although the private eye called that a lie, too. “Never hired the people he says I hired,” Dietl said. “It’s very offensive to have him use my name like this.” Alite also asserted Barrone received information from legendary NYPD Detective Joe Coffey, who flatly dismissed that claim as “bulls-—.” “I’ve never heard of Barrone,” said Coffey, who solved more than 80 mob murders in his career. “Absolutely unbelievable. We’re going to discredit this guy.” * * * The Manhattan DA’s office found a one-time driver with a name similar to the one provided by Alite. But the NYPD veteran, who was assigned to the DA’s detective squad, was “a loyal employee of the highest integrity,” Morgenthau’s office said.
