"They slammed me against the hood of my car, cuffed me, threw me in the back of the car. I'm in my own driveway at this point and time."

Isn’t this the same state that took all of those kids and made all of those unfounded charges then had to return all of the kids to their parents.
Oops.
from the video, it appeared that they had stuck the posters on street signs. I’m pretty sure that’s a no-no.
The point missed is that he was posting signs on property he did not own now had permission to use, probably not an offense that gets charged often but in all likely hood still an offense.
Now when they start going to garage sales that post in the same manner I will think this was not a “political” arrest
So it takes seven officers and handcuffing a suspect to write a ticket for criminal mischief in Houston?
I’d be careful about this story...we had some woman during the campaign who was jumped and cut with a knife at at ATM in Pittsburgh, claiming the assailant told her it was because she had a McCain bumper sticker. Turns out the sick ***ch did it to herself.
It’s always fun to see a dumbass hillbilly try to explain his knowlege of his First Amendment rights.
What a dumbass.
Was just making point that there was an infraction of the law, but Houston and Harris county are not always known for their dispasonate and level headed aplication of the law
I don’t believe, without much more evidence, that police “slammed” a nonresisting man onto the hood of a police cruiser for posting signs like this. Now if I’m wrong, I’m wrong, but cops in general know the repercussions of brutality, especially with something petty like this. Perhaps more will come out, but I think it’s telling that he didn’t file a complaint.
Yes.
Remember when Jessica Alba was involved in some poster foolishness in Oklahoma City? Anyway, the cops were going to charge her and her cohorts with vandalism, too.
I don't see a big deal in this.
Does anyone know if this was the Harris County Sheriff’s officers, Houston PD or a Kingwood PD group? I’m not sure if Kingwood is an incorporated city unto itself.
I hate to see that stuff and, yes, it’s everywhere.
Not sure it should be small, just because he’s the only guy to get caught.
However, if he was physically abused, it was wrong and he’s due his recourse.
I suspect in many communities it is technically a violation and “vandalism” to attach posters in many areas. Just like it is technically wrong in many areas for political signs to be put on the roadway, because it is public property. You can put it on YOUR OWN property, but not technically the property along the roadway.
Of course, when someone loses a dog and puts up a sign, no one is seriously concerned about that or going to suddenly send in SWAT.......but when it comes to politics...
As usual, the problem is often selective enforcement.
Liberals are thugs. Don’t you know that? Have you watched the ACORN goons? Have you seen the Union goons hurt conservatives?
We all know that conservatives are nazis and dangerous. I don’t know if 7 cops was enough.
Yeah, maybe the SWAT team was tied up busting up a TEA Party or at the airport to meet a group of troops coming home from Iraq. ;-)
