British labor unions agreed Thursday to support a boycott of some Israeli goods in response to the offensive in Gaza.
The boycott, approved at the annual conference of the Trades Union Congress, calls for a ban on importing goods produced in some Israeli settlements, an end to arms trading with Israel and disinvestment from some companies.
Union officials said the boycott would target products including dates, herbs, fruit and vegetables grown on Israeli settlements in the West Bank.
Scumbags.
Oh well, more Israeli-made stuff for me.
How come the NFL referees can get the right perp most of the time, and the world always blames Israel??
We need more instant replay !!! Who did what first ???
I just don’t understand how England — this once great nation — fell so far down, so quickly.
Why don´t Free Republic readers boycott British goods. It would certainly make a dent in the British economy if you were all to stop buying British. When you boycotted French goods it did make a vast dent in the french economy. Youm are a powerful site.
God bless All free Republic readers..
Sure... um
What do they actually produce?
If they are so against war and fighting and conflict, then boycotting is a typical “peaceful” response. What I object to is that the boycott is selectively applied. They dont ban items from Jordan or Gaza, in spite of their constant bombardments of Israel, in violation of every agreement ever made. The double-standard applied is so utterly blatant it just makes them a laughing stock.
Dont take it out on me! I dont back the TUC line.
