Phoenix - Sheriff Joe Arpaio has been given a deadline of October 15 to sign a new agreement with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to allow him to continue to arrest illegals. The deadline could be extended. Sheriff Joe has problems with the new arrangement since it attempts to limit public disclosure of illegal alien arrests. He vows to continue to talk to the media regarding raids and crime sweeps.

Arpaio said he is optimistic a new accord can be signed but added that if not, he plans to continue enforcing the state’s employer sanctions law — the Legal Arizona Workers Act.
The MCSO has arrested 310 workers on raids of 22 businesses since 2008 under the law. The MCSO also has arrested human smugglers and undocumented immigrants via traffic stops and other methods that do not require ICE approval.
Frankly, I think it's illegitimately intrusive for the federal government to mandate line-by-line instructions on how a local sheriff is required to do his job.

Fedzilla only operates within the STATE of ARIZONA, with the permission by the STATE, Revoke all Permissions to the Fed and then do as you want. Arrest any Federal Agent who tries to usurp the AUTHORITY of a FREE, INDEPENDENT, and SOVEREIGN STATE. After a few years in Tent City things will change.

You want to close down and board up all of the Ports of Entry and customs enforcement facilities in Arizona? I don’t think that is a good idea. It would be like the Oklahoma land run, only across the Arizona-Sonora border. But I agree with you that a few years in Tent City wearing pink calzoncillos and eating baloney would change their outlook on life. The Feds should just contract out all of their detention functions to Sheriff Joe. Only good things could some of that.

I think you misunderstood, only those powers enumerated are valid, the FED has the Authority to control International Borders, but NOTHING ELSE within the State unless they receive permission from said STATE. Clearly most Fed Functions are Unconstitutional. The State needs to take back their Authority to Self Govern without interference of the Fed. PUT THEM ALL IN JAIL for usurping the Authority of a FREE, INDEPENDENT, and SOVEREIGN STATE.

WHY does a law man have to sign an AGREEMENT with ICE about anything??? if people are breaking the law seems to me that the local law guy SHOULD arrest them
