Maggie who? Harman airbrushes Thatcher from her list of most powerful women in politics

It was meant to celebrate the achievements of the most powerful women in politics.

But for Harriet Harman it seems the merits of one female politician were not quite enough to make the grade.

Last night, Labour's deputy leader was forced to apologise after managing to omit Margaret Thatcher from a taxpayer-funded leaflet marking the milestones of female politicians.

The Women In Power fact sheet - produced by the Government Equalities Office run by Miss Harman - had been designed as a reference point for schools.

Starting in 1907 with 'First woman councillor elected', it ends in 2008 celebrating '90 years since women over 30 secured the vote'.

But although the document finds ample space to name several prominent Labour women, including some of Miss Harman's friends, there is no mention of Baroness Thatcher's historic defeat of Edward Heath in 1975 to become the first female head of a British political party.

Nor is there any mention of her three consecutive general election wins to become the country's longest-serving prime minister of the last century.

And although the Iron Lady's first general election victory is mentioned, she is not named. The leaflet merely says: '1979: UK's first woman prime minister.'

By contrast, the document names Labour peer Baroness Shreela Flather twice, along with the former mayor of Slough, Lydia Simmons, and the first female prime minister of Sri Lanka.

Britain's first black woman MP Diane Abbott also makes an appearance as well as Baroness Amos, the first black woman leader of the House of Lords. Both are Labour contemporaries of Miss Harman.

That's how leftists roll.

What they do is often "in your face" extremism, but much more is creeping, insidious, and incessant.

It is like a slow growing cancer, which will kill the patient, in this case, a country, in the end.

In Mediocre Britain, as this story indicates, one way it manifests itself is in government propaganda pamphlets.

In America, as a Fox News special recently pointed out, the cancer spreads through school textbooks authored and printed by left-wing kooks living and working in left-wing Nanny/Police cities like Boston and New York.

This propaganda and revisionist history is foisted on a largely unsuspecting, largely CONSERVATIVE populace (recent polls indicate we are a CONSERVATIVE nation overall) by the left-wing-run DOE, the teachers unions, and legions of teachers and professors that support them with boots (of the "jack" variety) on the ground.

The propaganda is wide-ranging, from our textbooks, to our public service announcements on TV and radio, to, like in this story - "fact" pamhplets printed using tax dollars and engineered to actually LEAVE OUT important history and facts.

This kind of sh*t has GOT to be stopped.
