At that period, myself and other good people spent fortunes and guts holding back the eco-fascists while most so-called conservatives were sitting on their fat asses and doing nothing to help. I’d go to a local townhall meeting and there would be six marxist hippies screaming for government control of private property, and there wouldn’t be a single conservative objecting.
How do you think we got an area that votes 75% for conservatives in national elections, while that same area has a county council that passes an ordinance forbidding tree cutting on private property??!!??

SD, Just a heads up whenever you see a restaurant, sea food merchant, so called green grocer, clothing vendor with the code words “We use Sustainable Resources”. You are about to deal with someone or a company in bed with the envirals.
TCH summarizes my feelings very well: “I think what Grampa Dave means is that when we buy products from companies that support this eco-nonsense (most of these companies donate a portion of their profits to World Wildlife Fund, Sierra Club and other such “green” eco-Nazi groups)we help fund the agenda of our enemies.
I know that it is difficult to avoid purchasing such products, as many companies cave-in to this extortion so to protect their own free-market interests from the eco-terrorists. Just as it is difficult to find “Made in USA” products, as “Made in China” has become ubiquitous.

Maybe Sierra Wasp can share some of his wisdom from observing these special relationships, like the so called white water folks have with the envirals, the water level control people and often the only access to a river in certain areas.
