GLENDALE, AZ -- Police are asking for the public's help locating an Arizona nuclear power plant worker who went missing last weekend.
Glendale police spokeswoman Karen Gerardo said 41-year-old Cornelius "Neil" Hardy was last seen at his home near 69th Avenue and Deer Valley Road Saturday night.
The 41-year-old is employed as an engineer at the Palo Verde Nuclear Plant.
She said he must have taken his work phone, but he left his badge behind and now wonders if his career could have put him at risk.

We should keep an eye on this story.

He could have been carjacked—a serious or fatal crime, but not necessarily associated with his employment.

Yes, but he evidently has a high security clearance...so some are wondering why since Sat, there have been no sightings.

I have a friend whose husband works at Palo Verde. I’ll email her and see what she knows.

I think he is in Iran or N. Korea by now, said so yesterday. Who else would want to kidnap a Nuclear Power Plant worker. My theory rests, of course, on how much technical know how this guy has, if he is just a run of the mill worker then I doubt any foreign power would kidnap him. However, if he has vital knowledge you know they would love to have him.

He didnt take anything with him.Anything I tell you would be anecdotal. I do know two people who went out for a quart of milk and just never went home. It happens.

Yes, in the comments of the stories, some are curious about the police waiting for 72 before searching.

That’s unusual too. Normally we might not pay it any attention- but given this man’s occupation it gives one pause..
