Well...he made a promise and he kept it.
Prayers for a fallen hero’s family. Prayers for his friend. It was a strange promise, but it’s good that he kept it. And one thing, it will keep his friend’s memory alive among strangers, which is cool.

His dad must really be proud. What is it about crossdressing british? How about he show a little respect for his unit. He just made himself the center of attention with his gay act.
I know, it had the same effect on me! I don’t understand it, normally a guy in a dress would not cause that reaction!

Real character is keeping the promise even though nobody else would have known.

Yeah,, sure did. It’s still gay. I guess we are lucky they didnt agree they should stand there nude, flagpole up, wearing a condom for aids awareness. Stupid agreement, disrespectful to the unit and to the history of such a unit.
As is standard for so many of this generation, nothing is more important than them being respected for being deviant, and to get a moment of fame.

Yeah, enlisting the in British Army, going to Afghanistan, seeing his best friend killed, then following up on a promise he'd made. What an attention whore.
Real character also involves thinking of things bigger than yourself. Like thinking of your nation, and not making a soldier’s funeral into a Benny Hill skit.
I just see this one different.
And i wonder if this was a real promise, or a drunken moment of bravado. Im no psychologist,, but this screams “heyyyy everyone,,look at me”.

The dress part, thats the attention whore part. He did ok till then.
I guess im wrong. I looked it up on google. I guess in WWII it was *widespread* to honor fallen buddies by attending the funeral in drag! Then perform a few showtunes and redecorate the house. My bad/.
We just need to disagree, i think it’s disrespectful, and his dad should have knocked some sense into him.
