O plan too cheap: Rangel

Rep. Charles Rangel took a bizarre shot at President Obama yesterday, saying the president's well-received prime-time health-care speech actually created problems for House Democrats and endangered the passage of legislation.

Obama's insistence on trimming the reform price to $900 billion over 10 years would mean slashing House-backed subsidies for the poor, Rangel said.

"Nine hundred billion -- well that's $100 billion short," he told reporters

(snip)

But Rangel, usually one of Obama's cheerleaders on Capitol Hill, seemed miffed that the president backed away from the House's soak-the-rich tax to pay for it.

Let’s soak Rangel. Ten years in Ossining would cover it.

Well, it would only soak the rich who actually pay taxes. Right, Charlie?

Bummer not lefty enough for Rangel. Surprise!

Soak the rich, that’s a laugh. Make the rich an endangered species and they simply go elsewhere.

Why is this crook still in office?

Getting rid of him should like shooting fish in a barrel. He should be the poster-boy for Congressional corruption...along with Dodd, Frank and Murtha...etc. Republicans are disciplined for things they say, and drummed out of office for the slightest infraction. Not only because they are capable of being shamed, but because the vulturelike partisan media ensure it. This guy is a lying, unrepentant tax cheat and a serial abuser of power - using his office to fraudulently gain rent-controlled apartments. He's a liar and he thinks he untouchable. The people must demand his removal.

Charlie Rangel is INNOCENT. All of the proven facts are WROn........RACIST! Yeah! That’s the ticket. It is not important that Rangel is guilty and corrupt. All that matters is his critics are RACISTS. RACISM is Rangels problem.
