I was thinking about this the other day. I have an idea:
How about if we just start prefacing everything we say politically with “I know I am a racist, but. . . .”
And I do mean ALL of us -— red and yellow, black and white -— as the little children’s song says.
Let’s either make the powers that be edit that ubiquitous proclamation off our every statement, or let the audience hear it repeatedly for the joke that it has become in our USA -— a USA that has become post-racial on its own free will and BEFORE we elected Obama as president.
I think “owning” the “racism slur” in such a flamboyant way, like the satirizing use a decidedly insulting term like the “N” word among friends to desensitize it and to remove its power, will help to further diffuse a slur that just doesn’t fit anymore, and finally let us relax enough to get over it.
Waters is probably the nastiest most radical racist in the Congress. There is no one worse. She is also in a district where she is politically safe. Nothing can be done about her.
She either dies in office or is convicted of a felony and those are the ways she leaves.
No more than it used to be illegal to be a card carrying communist. Pretty much prima facie evidence of treason, but not against the law.

A report by Fox News, captured in a clip posted on YouTube.com (Must see video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUaY3LhJ-IQ) , showed Waters challenging the president of Shell Oil, John Hofmeister, to guarantee the prices consumers pay will go down if the oil companies are allowed to drill wherever they want off of U.S. shores.
Hofmeister replied: "I can guarantee to the American people, because of the inaction of the United States Congress, ever-increasing prices unless the demand comes down."
The Shell exec said paying $5 at the pump "will look like a very low price in the years to come if we are prohibited from finding new reserves, new opportunities to increase supplies."
Waters responded, in part, "And guess what this liberal would be all about. This liberal will be about socializing … uh, um..."
The congresswoman paused to collect her thoughts [for about 5-6 seconds this went on, while her colleagues behind her laughed].
"...would be about, basically, taking over, and the government running all of your companies..."
The oil executives responded, according to Fox News, by saying they've seen this before, in Hugo Chavez's Venezuela.

This is Maxine applying radical techniques like she has done all along.
RULE 5: "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon." There is no defense. It's irrational. It's infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions. (Pretty crude, rude and mean, huh? They want to create anger and fear.)
