Actually, Jimma is correct. There probably is a small portion of the opposition to President Obama that is based entirely on his race.
My question to him would be:
What percentage of the support BEING GIVEN TO President Obama is based entirely on his race?
The population is 12% African-American. How many of them, when referring to President Obama as “someone who looks like me,” are referring to his race?

I actually knew some naval officers during my time in the submarine service who had been associated with Jimmy Carter--their opinion: "He was one of the worst ever and would have most likely killed his crew if he'd ever become a boat captain!"

The opposition to Obama is much like the opposition to Carter...
The American public doesn't appreciate gas lines, 21% interest rates, Iranian hostages, a failed foregin policy, a ruined economy, being told to turn down the thermostat and to wear a sweater, stagflation, liberalism run amok, the misery index, etc., etc. and etc.
In BO, the American public may see way too much that reminds them of Carter...and they ain't looking at skin color (only the libs are paying attention to that).

Jimmy Carter is the Devil.
Carter ran a racist campaign for Governor in 1966.
Carter realized that he was more liberal than most voters in Georgia so he sought to paint his opponent as a Liberal.
His crowning achievement was “planting” a picture of his opponent (Sanders-who was part owner of the Atlanta Hawks) celebrating with the team after a victory. The picture showed Sanders cavorting with Blacks and champagne flowing.
