Last night while listening to Glenn Beck, he challenged his viewers with a call to action. He ordered us to get off our collective arses and call the media demanding to know if they will cover the ACORN story.
This morning, I called the National News desk of the ComPost - I live in Maryland and work in DC. After numerous rings, I finally got voicemail stating to leave a message and number. My message was if the ComPost - I did not call them that on the voicemail - was going to investigate ACORN.
I next called the Washington Times - specifically Jerry Seper 202-636-3089. His name and number is listed on their website. Immediately kicked to voicemail and I asked the same question.
Next I will call the Baltimore Sun and see what I get.
A couple observations. The Times website has stories concerning ACORN while there is a dearth on the ComPosts website. I was also wondering last night after watching Beck's program how many Churches are working with ACORN. Maybe we need to find that out also.
Appreciate any constructive comments.
Hmmmmm....I had not heard of churches colluding with ACORN. What do you know of this?
Having spent years at the AME churches I can tell you Acorn was all over the place.
The mayor of Irving, TX Herbert Gears is a “friend of ACORN”
I called ABC NY in 1992 told them I would never watch them again and I haven’t! What do you think about this?

free gas!
That’s exactly what I was thinking.
They are starting to cover it now....they are rushing to the defense of ACORN! All the while Breitbart seems to have enough videos to continue the drip-drip-drip for weeks on end. This is hilarious!
I just this may be something to also look into. Corruption likes to seep everywhere it can.
The mayor of Irving, TX Herbert Gears is a friend of ACORN...
As a former resident of Irving. I agree. I’ve seen the documents that he signed aligning himself with them.
Well, maybe they are not working directly with ACORN, but look at the number of pastors who have jumped on the Obama bandwagon. That should tell you something.
what about this protest? I see they changed the date from a Wednesday to a Saturday - that’s awesome!

There is churches, and there is churches. In my experience, most churches that affiliate with ACORN are leftist in nature. Others, simply want to provide some support to the community, but don’t want the responsibility of critically analyzing the organizations they give to (a common problem for many congregations). It feels good, and it makes the elders look good, so why not?
Sadly, proper stewardship of church funds is lacking.
The MSM should be all over this. ACORN is due for a DOJ investigation on several levels:
1) Charging dues while receiving federal funding is a federal offense;
2) Conspiracy to defraud the IRS;
3) Organizing for political action while claiming tax exemption and receiving federal grants.
Beck’s challenge should be answered by all of us. I’m starting today.
Catholic Church was working with ACORN
That’s not the Catholic Church anymore. Hasn’t been since Vatican II
Infiltrate and get video of multiple ACORN workers admitting that they feverishly, actively and willingly engaged in massive voter fraud to get Obama elected.
Then, put it on YouTube.
Does this mean our community organizer president friend of ACORN is the “Pimp in Chief?”
Thumbs up my friend... you are an example to us all!!!
