Good morning sneakers!! Just in time for Q and R. I wonder if they will excoriate Casey for his pro-Acorn funding vote. That’s our Senator-Senator Pinhead

Good Mornin'!

Have yunz seen this gem of a story?

Man Proposes To Woman Right Before Head-On Crash

And yes I had a Lone FReep along the busway yesterday. My Gadsden and 6 quickly made signs. I was there about 3 hours. There were LOTS of sedans with blacked out windows, one was a Mercedes. LOTS of State, Pittsburgh and Crafton police and emergency vehicles along with Port Authority security and regular buses. Most slowed down and checked me out.

One PAT security truck passed me, then backed up to read my signs. WE waved at me and I waved back. Then he gave me a thumbs up and a "V" for Victory sign before driving off.

A few big copters passed to my south and looked like they were following the Parkway. Could have been press or maybe Marine 1, I don't know.

In any case eventually I followed t he progress of the motorcade and figured they weren't coming my way. Maybe the decided I was a risk, LOL!

Finally another PAT truck came by and the guy flipped me the finger. About ten minutes later a Crafton police cruiser and a Pittsburgh police cruiser stopped and two officers got out.

I waved at them and they asked me to some over the the fence. We exchanged small talk then Officer Barry, a Crafton officer who knows me and Pgh Officer Lawrence (I think) asked me to take the signs down because the PAT doesn't like things on "their" fence.

Since Hussein was already giving his speech and I was getting ready to leave anyway I politely said sure and started packing up. They thanked me and I thanked them for their service, we had some more small talk and Officer Barry asked me if some "bad kids" were still hanging out in the woods.

I told him I hadn't noticed any kids but DID notice a small pop up tent in the woods as I walked in about a quarter mile from where we were. It looked like a transient of some kind had been there recently . Both officers were VERY interested, thanked me and took off.

I didn't go out that way so I don't know if they went to check out the tent.

So before I take up more space here are a few pics I took. They aren't good quality because they're from a cellphone.

6 signs and Gadsden on the fence

Two of the signs I made. I took thses this morning in my studio.

I hope the pics aren't too big. I tried to edit them but I'm kinda busy.

Other signs included:

ATLAS SHRUGGED. NOW HE"S GETTING EVEN!

The circle with a slash through it over SOCIALISM

ACORN IS A BUNCH OF NUTS!

YOU LIE!

Hope this doesn't slow the thread down.

If you do, please post the response because I am sure it will be tragically comical.

FYI Overnight someone posted a thread about the Snuggies fashion show in NYC. I was going to post this but for some reason the Mods pulled the thread.

Soooo...I was sitting at The Local Watering Hole Last November. My buddy and I were watching Bonanza reruns and sucking down LOTS of brew. I was agonizing over the looming need for a few quick Christmas gifts when the Snuggie ad came on TV.

Maybe it was panic setting in...maybe it was the beer....I don't know, but I pulled out the cellphone, called the Snuggie number and ordered some.

They came a couple of weeks later already wrapped for Christmas giving in attractive and functional black plastic bags.

Christmas day came and when the Snuggies were passed out they were THE HIT of the holiday!

Wife, kids and I - not to mention the cat - think they're fantastic! Cheaply made? Sure. Funny looking? Obviously. Functional and warm? ABSOLUTELY!

During the past summer of global warming we never put them away. They've been perfect on those chilly mornings and evenings...inside or on the porch.

I'm ordering more this year. The only thing is I wish they had made them in NFL team colors and logos. We need some black and gold Snuggies for The Steeler Nation!

Do NOT tell my husband about the Snuggies for two reasons:
1. Mr. karatemom will order them for his survival gear
2. Mrs. Karatemom wants superheated, superpressurized carbon jewelry for Christmas.

Maybe we need a Racism czar???

I wondered how your FReep went yesterday. Good thing you didn’t get arrested.

At work, a bunch of people stood at the windows to watch the motorcade go by the parkway.

Good morning...if you get a chance, please call. Both rwi and I both did yesterday (i think we got the same young man).

When I called, early, Casey had no official policy statement; but the young man assured me (when I gave him an out...’did Casey just misvote?’) that he is ‘well versed on any topic he votes on’ (I couldn’t help it, I said ‘really?); I mentioned that didn’t he notice that even his ‘fellow Democrat’ Arlen Specter voted against ACORN? along with 82 other Senators...the kid (sounded really young) said ‘Senator Casey thinks for himself.’ I used incredible restraint and didn’t say anything bitc#y to that.

If you call, please let me know if they ask for your name/address...yesterday, I was only asked for my zip code (utilizing caller id?)

FReepmail forthcoming w/the phone number I used.

:)PM

I forgot to mention. I asked the officers why they wanted information about me, especially when Officer Barry knows me. They said they both would have to file reports because they talked to me.

Soooo...maybe I'll make tomorrow's West Police Blotter in the P-G!

I called and got a totally clueless girl. I didn't waste my time. I figure I'll call again today and get someone who is able to converse with me...maybe.

Well done p6! And great signs!

I wish I had the courage you have. You remind me of the guy here in Indiana Co who stood on the street corners every day for weeks before the first Tea party. He was dressed in colonial garb and took all kinds of grief (as well as good comments). He was determined to get the word out about the Tea Party. He remained undaunted. We ended up with about 500. It takes brave, determined souls like you and our colonial guy! Actually, it takes real, concerned AMERICANS!

Thank you p6! YOU are a Colonial Guy too!
