I agree. When even CNN goes out of their way to say that the comment about Palin is in dispute, you know it’s just made up stuff that CNN seeks to get away with publishing.

I don't. While I don't know W, I did spend over an hour with him in the Oval Office, and the comments sure have his "flavor." Second, it would strike me that of all the candidates, W would be most impressed by a businessman, Romney, and certainly would not like McCain. Nor was McCain's operation good---it was amateurish compared to W's in 2004.

I think if you read W's comments about Palin, they come across as accurate: he worried that the media would tear her apart because of her inexperience (true dat) and would go after her family (mos def). I don't think anyone who was undecided who watched the Couric or Gibson interviews was swayed toward Palin, however "unfair" they were. The most important love you can show someone is to tell the truth about him or her, and until we start doing that for Palin, she will NOT be a viable candidate.

Not necessarily. Remember the comment President Bush made during the first campaign in front of a live microphone that was supposed to be turned off? Bush: "That's Adam Clymer, major league asshole for the New York Times", Cheney: "Yeah, big time."

So, yes, I can picture President Bush saying things like that.
