“Much ado about nothing. I have practiced law in MD for over twenty years. Many corporations inadvertently let their charters lapse, usually by failing to file the annual property tax return. They can file the returns, pay whatever tax is owed and their charter will be reinstated.”

Perhaps. Yet when I checked on the nutty bunch prior to the November election, they seemed to have a significant amount of unpaid taxes in quite a few states. Systemic disregard of tax law. Add that to the long list of RICO charges, IMO.

Time to spray Round-Up on these nutty growths on American society and its decent taxpayers.

Systemic disregard of tax law.

Could be, but that's different than the "not licensed to do business in Maryland" angle that was getting everyone excited. They lose their charter for failure to file an annual state property tax statement. In the scheme of things, those taxes are pretty low, probably no more than a thousand or two dollars a year for a small office.

Many corporations fail to file annual property tax returns and lose their charters as a result. Most of them later discover the oversight, get caught up and easily have their charters restated. I wouldn't say it's routine, but it's not at all unusual. Not that I'm defending these scumbags, but there's enough really bad stuff going on that it seems to me this is little more than a distraction.
