More national press for Rand Paul
WHAS-TV ^ | September 14, 2009 | Joe Arnold

By my estimation (purely anecdotal), Rand Paul is second only to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell among Kentucky politicians getting national press.

McConnell is the highest ranking Republican in the country. Paul is a Bowling Green ophthamologist (who also happens to be the son of a cult hero Congressman).

Rand Paul is scheduled to be on C-SPAN's Washington Journal on Wednesday, 9/16 at 9AM ET and MSNBC's Morning Joe on Thursday, 9/17 at 7:15 AM ET.

Wednesday afternoon he will meet with the fiscal conservative thinktank, Club for Growth.

So why should I be interested in Rand Paul? What did he do on Morning Joe?

Rand Paul would double the often lonely voice of Tom Coburn on fiscal restraint.

Uh, nothing. He isn't on Morning Joe until this coming Thursday.

I am an ENORMOUS fan of Ron Paul. I suspect that future historians may say that he was the last, best hope of the US.

That being said, I do not want to hear about, nor would I ever consider supporting, Rand Paul. And that's for one simple reason: this country does not need any more political dynasties. Let England have her Crown princes and such. We don't need them. All dynasties are unhealthy, period.

If Ron gets a bit too old to run again for higher office, let's look for a Ron Paul type, not a Ron Paul relative.

I’ll be more than likely voting for him.

The candidate is a wonderful spokesman for capitalism.
