“But the U.S. government requires female immigrants between the ages of 11 and 26 to receive Gardasil shots before they can become citizens.”
The entire class of HPV virus strains is mostly a sexually transmitted virus, which means that if a female has the virus she had to get it from a virally active sexual partner. The cases of possible risk from “skin-to-skin” contact has been identified only for cases where one party was identified with genital warts, also found hosting HPV and HPV was found outside the genital region, under the fingernails. For ANYONE to suggest that most every female who obtains this virus got it from someone other than a male carrier she had genital-to-genital or hand-to-genital contact is simply not scientific.

Therefore, here’s the question for the legal beagles:
Does the same law REQUIRE male immigrants between the ages of 11 and 26 to get tested to see if they are carriers of any strain of HPV??? No!!!!!!!
Guess what, and guess why? There is no test yet devised for finding it in the male penis, or in the male urogenital tracts.
Gardasil and its promotion are about two things: another way try to ease young women’s minds about being promiscuous and unwarranted revenue for the maker of Gardasil.
If that were not the case, the federal interest in this would be to develop the tests for it beyond the female cervix swab test, which is the only real test available now; and then, if the fascist lawyers wanted, to require mandatory testing of young-men who have reached or passed puberty, so any HPV-positive-carriers could be identified, and so that they could then be required to tell their sexual partners to be vaccinated against HPV.
Yet, the real kicker is, although HPV cannot be “cured” (cannot be completely killed off by drugs) “HPV usually goes away on its own, without causing health problems. So an HPV infection that is found today will most likely not be there a year or two from now.” http://www.cdc.gov/STD/HPV/STDFact-HPV.htm
And yet a sexually active male who is told about genital warts and finds himself noticing he may have it, knows, without any doctor needed, that he most likely has a strain of HPV and should not be sexually active, unless his partner is vaccinated for HPV. Even if he allows that occasion to pass without doing anything about it, and even if it goes away, he may still remain a carrier for some time.
So, why then shouldn’t a young woman care as much about knowing how trustworthy her sexual partner really is - like enough to make a lifetime commitment - before she “hooks up” with him, as she is asked to care about being vaccinated with Gardasil. The fact is, Gardasil itself only offends a few strains of HPV, making it a false promise to begin with.
Again, it really should be a question of personal responsibility and not universal vaccination of a whole class of people, just so that promiscuous and unattached sexual partners can assume, and continue irresponsible behavior with less worry.
So, equal protection under the law is not only being violated on the grounds of immigration status but on gender status too!?!
