Thanks for the link to the Wiki article. Chock full of information and trivia. I see the movie was released on my birthday. The film was a favorite of mine, partly because I worked one summer at a Jewish country club near Chicago when I was 18 and the music in the film was the music of my generation. In fact, I learned to dance to Bruce Chanel’s “Hey Baby”. I certainly could identify with much of the film.
How cool! It is really like a blast from the past to see how the well-heeled might have spent their summers. I’m not sure what they do now, lol. And I’m quite confident I’ve never had an Ivy League waiter, but then again I’m in the Midwest...
