The Republican platform is conservative. The republicans that win run conservative then screw up and govern as liberals. The Republican platform is quite good.

The important thing is that we become completely deaf to political rhetoric. We need to judge candidates on what they have done in their careers and not on what they say. Anyone who has not made up their minds within 30 days of a candidate declaring should do the country a favor and not vote.
