Rush is wrong. A GOP in the state that it remains today will also ensure Obama's reelection. The GOP is a national party, but it is certainly no longer a conservative party.

Last year, I was furious with any libertarians, conservatives, or even moderates that refused to vote or voted third party due to their disgust with the GOP... last year, facing the election of a nutty, low-intellect Marxist, was not the time to entertain a third party.

Today, it is high time. Rush - a faux conservative who tried to foist the likes of Mitt Romney on conservatives - is in no position to warn us. He isn't keeping this conservative on the plantation. No way, no how, no more. No more betrayals.

Rush - a faux conservative

Get real. Rush has done more for the conservative movement than anyone I can think of.

A GOP in the state that it remains today will also ensure Obama’s reelection.”

A third party will ensure even more that 0bama wins reelection, even while a true conservative like Sarah Palin could take out 0bama.

The GOP is a national party, but it is certainly no longer a conservative party. “

So vote for conservatives in the Republican primaries in 2010. In the present climate with angry voters against government waste, truly conservative candidates are going to end up winning a lot f the Republican primaries.

The GOP was never a conservative party as people here would like to understand it.

US political parties have always been ideological coalitions. This is necessarily so because we do not have a parliamentary system.

Ideological purity, or even consistency, is an absurd demand. It is rather a petulant whim, a denial of reality.

"Rush - a faux conservative..."

I agree. Rush is a capitalist Republican selling conservatism to make a buck. Not to say he doesn't believe in some conservative philosophy, but it is definitely not the driving force behind his actions.

Talk may be cheap, but it sure makes a lot of money for some people.
