RUSH: And you enjoyed it for all the reasons that you've mentioned. But we've gotta be really, really careful here, Dana, about this left versus right government thing. You mentioned third party, and we've been through this with Perot.
CALLER: I know that. I know that. And I think Perot helped Clinton get in, I don't doubt that. I do believe there has to be a huge movement before people can vote that way.
RUSH: But a third party is not going to do anything other but ensure the reelection of Obama and every other Democrat running for office because even if you come up with a charismatic third-party presidential candidate, still isn't going to have anybody of any significance running in that party for seats in Congress of the US Senate unless this movement happened to become the majority movement in the country, and that's not what's happening. I respectfully disagree with you here. I understand the anger at the Republican Party. Hell, I've got it, too. I've had it for a long, long time. But don't make the mistake of thinking this is not a left versus right thing. This is a conservative ascendancy that's going on out there. You didn't show up and protest like this when the Republicans were in power.

“It seems that you just like to bitch and moan rather get off your butt and do some work..”
It seems that you like to just slam Conservatives.
You’re always laughing at principled conservatives, so this is nothing new. Kind of a dog bites man sort of story.
In otherwords you are losers before you start just like the other Third Party loons.
Then we are wrong for not getting out and physically working to elect conservatives, to identify conservatives and help them raise the money to fight the Orin Hatch, Richard Luger, John McCain, Lindsay Graham, etc.......... the responsibility is on the voter, the common man/woman, American... Utah is one of the most conservative-leaning states in the country but take a look at how their senators are voting... and a third party will not change that, opposing them will... Bennett is up for re-election next year, but sadly the odds of him losing with his long family history in that state are slim and none.
You’re name calling like Urkel’s WH. A sure sign you have no argument.
I reccommend Edmund Burke to start -

“Reflections on the Revolution in France”
This is the first explicit statement of political conservatism. He denied the value of, and warned of the danger of, governing mankind through abstract principles.
Teh conservatism I know, the proper view as long as I have known it, is a non-ideology, a humble discipline if you like.
It is funny that you seem to be like the left when it comes to the 10th Amendment or you want the Government to increase when it comes to social issues...
Funny, coming from a party that loses even when they win.
>>third parties have never, ever, been of benefit to the GOP... it has resulted in total disaster for our country and our economy........<<
I’m thinking the Republican party is “party of the problem”
Like your party will win anything..
Just telling the truth...
I’m beginning to think you are a DU shill with your constant efforts to destroy the GOP here on FR... some people may fall for it, but I think you are one very destructive influence here... you never have a positive suggestion, only constant third party this and third party that, even though history tells every thinking person a third party will give Obama a third term and elect more Al Frankens.
So you are calling Conservative Republican Ronald Reagan a loser
That's up to the people voting GOP!...numbers count. If you can't win a primary how do you think you'll do as a third party?
Who nominated McCain?...people in the Northeast who always vote Dem in the general election.
It's the Republicans' fault they let the blue states vote before the red states. We should demand they change the primary elections and let the states who voted red in the last election vote in the early primaries.
States might have more control than the national party when they schedule their primaries...I don't remember.
“This is the first explicit statement of political conservatism. He denied the value of, and warned of the danger of, governing mankind through abstract principles.”
Ah, but what is “political conservatism” varies from polity to polity.
“Teh conservatism I know, the proper view as long as I have known it, is a non-ideology, a humble discipline if you like.”
That’s certainly not the Founders view. There was nothing humble in our revolt.
The GOP will come back? And elect another socialist like George “bailout” Bush? What is the point in that?
Untrue.
But, your post makes one wonder if you’re pro-abortion.
It’s pretty easy to identify who should be replaced... but it will have to be grassroots in each state
Well it is up to the states to setup the primaries...
I’m pro constitution..
