This week end, the spousal unit and I watched the award winning film, "The Wrestler".
In that, the main character "Randy the Ram", who was living in his van, and had a heart attack after a match. The film shows him leaving the hospital after a by-pass.
I am assuming, with out two coins to rub together, our present national health care covered his surgery and recovery?
Movie critque aside, just curious.
It was a movie, they can cover whatever they want.
Tremendous film, by the way.
Yes, the hospital will have an account receivable on it, write it off after a couple years. I have an ex-spouse who has no money, no insurance, cannot get Medicaid, only income is social security disability payments. Has been in and out of hospital repeatedly. They keep admitting him and treating him. Probably sending him bills, but there is no hope for payment ever.
The same way a Moondog died a few years back in Memphis.
I love the scene at the deli where he finally just eats the potato salad to make the old lady happy.
