Forty-two percent said they get most of their news from the Internet compared with 33 percent who cited newspapers.
Fifty-nine percent rated news organizations as "highly professional," down from 66 percent two years ago and 72 percent in 1985.

Forty percent said the major cable news outlets -- CNN, Fox News and MSNBC -- were their main source for national and international news with 22 percent saying they relied on CNN, 19 percent on Fox and six percent on MSNBC.
How can that be? LOL Fox routinely smashes msnbc and lately, msnbc beats cnn regularly. Come on!
* 71 percent saying they get most of their national and international news from television.
* 42 percent said they get most of their news from the Internet
* 33 percent cited newspapers

So they surveyed a total of 146 percent?
(scratching head...)
I wondered the same thing, The numbers do not add up. Fox gets 2-3 times as many viewers as ANY CNN broadcast.
I call BS on Pew on this
Fox News = Julie Banderas, Juliet Huddy, Megyn Kelly, Grechen Carlson, Patty Anne Browne any wonder why Fox is No 1!
If one person watches FOX for 5 hours per week, and 4 people watch CNN for 30 minutes per week each, then FOX will get higher ratings, but CNN more total viewers.
what is your source for that. If Baier gets 2.5 million viewers and Smith gets 2.3 million but some are the same viewers but the corresponding CNN broadcasts each get 1 million and some of them are the same viewers how could CNN have more viewers?
please site your source for that, provide a credible link
Pic violation!
I didn’t get it from anywhere. I was just illustrating how it could happen that Fox could have higher ratings (= number of viewer-hours) than CNN, while CNN could have more people saying they rely on CNN for their news (ie, they watch less news, but the news they do watch is CNN)
Multiple Pic Violations!!
You forgot Jane Skinner!
About the ONLY one CNN has is Robin Meade.
