Police officers have accused the Government of being willing "to sell its soul for trade deals" following the disclosure that Jack Straw agreed that the killer of Pc Yvonne Fletcher would not be brought to justice in Britain.
In a letter to Gordon Brown, Paul McKeever, the chairman of the Police Federation, said he was ''shocked, appalled and disgusted'' that the UK agreed the murderer would go on trial in Libya.
The Foreign Office has conceded that any trial for the shooting - which took place outside the Libyan embassy in London 25 years ago - will take place in Tripoli.
The agreement was reportedly struck three years ago, when trade deals worth hundreds of millions of pounds were being negotiated.

Poison
The Left apparently has no problem with “Blood for Oil” on their watch.
Is this the first time Poison has been quoted on FR?
The soul of the UK has been sold many times over. The country is in a death spiral.
Could be... although I’ve seen ‘look what the cat dragged in’ a few times. Don’t think it was a quote attributed to Poison though. ;o)

The Liberals need to get out of the way for the Conservatives. If the Tories did something like this they would have owned up to it. England show go to war with Lybia and take their oil. I guess that would be steam punk.
England is heading for some serious race riots I fear.
I fear if they don't, and continued rolling over in the face of this Islamic onslaught.
Go Hooligans!
It's been in the works for many years. I visited the Edsel Ford house north of Detroit some years ago. It's a magnificent Cotswold estate. The most stunning part to me was how much of the house was adorned with vintage materials from old English manors which had to be parceled out piece by piece to support the "noble" heirs
