Wasn’t aware that they were not allowed. From the photos I saw it appeared that they were on the mall.

We were not allowed on the mall because they said we did not have the permits. Everyone started yelling, “It’s our mall.” and they opened it up.

Personally, I don’t think the organizers nor anyone else anticipated this type of crowd. There weren’t any outdoor bathroom facilities nor was the speaker system adequate for people to hear all the way down to the Washington monument. In spite of all the things people could have complained about, everyone had a great time. Dick Armey said they would do it again next year.
