I agree with Joe Wilson, but his outburst played right into their hands......the issue is now Joe Wilson and not their idiotic health care bill. that’s why Pelosi wants to keep this alive.
The idiotic health care bill is going to pass no matter what the GOP does. The question is whether the GOP is going to use it as an opportunity to position themselves for a challenge to the Dems in 2010, or simply cower in fear. Wilson prefers the former, I think.
Not all (voting) people are as supid as she thinks.
Your concerns are so yesterday.
With the internet, talk radio and FOX news the days of being so defensive worrying about false issues manufactured by the Drive-Bys is over.
The real issue is the idiotic health care bill and as Joe Wilson pointed out the lying president.
If we can't successfully push those issues using the new media then we might as well give up.
So Pelosi says she’s not going to allow a vote on the bill till Joe apologizes?
It's still tied to the fact that Obama is a liar, and to the fact that illegals will receive a free ride. Those things NEED to stay in the forefront IMHO.
This will backfire on Pelosi. Let her continue to ignore tax-cheat Charlie and hammer on Wilson while so many Americans are awake and paying attention.
No way. Wilson played this perfectly. He got the comment on the record then promptly issued a sincere apology. He comes across as a conscientious guy and his comment continues to resonate. If the Democrats pursue it further it’ll look like a combination of vindictiveness and “thou doth protest too much” on their part. The president has already accepted his apology so he owes them nothing, and most people will see it that way. It looks win-win all around to me.
