Every day I read another ‘I hate Romney’ post here on FR.

Why? Is it his religion? Why is everybody so angry/afraid of him?

Why is everybody so angry/afraid of him?

Two reasons that combine to create anger:

1. He is not a conservative, he is a moderate at best (AKA he is a RINO)

2. FR is infested with sycophantic trolls who lack conservative core values claiming he is a conservative.

Combine the two together and you get vocally angry conservatives.

...and one more thing

Is it his religion?

This is the same crap the liberals pull when anyone criticizes nObama...automatically its racists. I am so sick of hearing that criticism of Romney is anti-Mormon. That is such liberal horse hockey.

No. At least as far as I’m concerned- it is not his religion. Unless someone is trying to change me, I don’t care about their religion. It’s their business and I’m odd enough to believe it’s none of my business- it’s personal.

And I don’t “hate” Romney. He’s ok- but he has no defining principles.

He’s a charming fellow and obviously a very smart one. He’s just too northeast Republican for me (I grew up in Mass- my mother knew him) and I simply don’t trust him.

Wow, talk about taking the low road.

I couldn't care less what mitt romney (R)ino Massachusetts chooses to believe, it doesn't make his lack of conservative principles one iota more or less acceptable to me.

So he's a Mormon, B.F.D. So is one of conservatism's most powerful beacons of light and truth, Glenn Beck.

You might want to retire that old canard before the feathers fall off.

Hi ladyjane.

Moving on from calling Willard (invokes a rat) as a “wolf”,
is this a good idea?

Why did not Romney run for Senator from Massachusetts?

Is Romney really the COWARD?
Romney fled to La Jolla (about as far as he could
go)after installing RomneyCARE.

Let’s get Mitt to run for Senator and increase his gravitas.

I don’t hate Romney, jane. And I am certainly not afraid of him. We plan to re-defeat Mitt in New Hampshire 2012!

It was great fun the 1st time and the 2nd time will be a hoot.

Because he is a liberal trying his best to pretend to be a conservative. He could worship a kumquat and I would not care but he is no conservative.

No one is ‘afraid’ of Mitt.

He’s just....gay. Plastic. L-I-M-P.

Plus there is his, ahem, politics.

Every day I read another ‘I hate Romney’ post here on FR. Why? Is it his religion? Why is everybody so angry/afraid of him?

It's because of the words in his speeches and his writings. ALL of the words, not the "sound bites" that are sweet music to conservative ears. He promises he'll cut regulation and promote capitalism. But hear all of his words before you fall into a swoon. It's easy to do -- just google his CPAC speech, for example.

Every single solution the guy puts forth involves more government, more regulaltion. More interference. More kow-towing to world opinion in the Global Warming scam. More legislation taking away rights of individuals and private businesses to discriminate privately and morally as is their God-given right against behaviors they perceive as perverse, such as open homosexuality -- Romney would remove your right to halt openly gay Boy Scout leaders in your sons' troops. He holds with those who presume to remove your right to decline and discourage acceptance of open homosexuality in daily life, from gradeschools to your work-a-day choices. He would remove your right to determine your own health insurance and health care choices.

Those who think it's about his religion are fooling themselves.

Lots of Freepers dislike Harry Reid. Is that anti-Mormon bigotry too?

IMHO it is largely nti-Mormonism. While some critics make good points, many lie and do nothing but nasty name calling, apparently unable to think of reasons to attack him. It was pointed out that some of them do nothing but only post anti Romney statements. Dems who are afraid of him?
