Charlie in rental di$order (Tax cheat Rangel fails to report Harlem-pad income)
NY Post ^ | 9/13/09 | ISABEL VINCENT and MELISSA KLEIN

Posted on 09/13/2009 4:38:12 AM PDT by jimbo123

Rep. Charles Rangel reported no rental income for eight years on his rundown Harlem row house, even though public records show tenants were living there.

The powerful chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee said he received nothing from 1993 to 2000 on the six-unit building, according to federal financial disclosure forms.

But one current tenant told The Post she had lived at the building for 20 years -- and paid rent during that period.

Another said her former boyfriend called 74 W. 132nd St. home for many years, paying about $500 a month in rent.

While Rangel claims to have taken in not a dime in eight years, at least four tenants lived in the building during that time, The Post found.

HMMM. Makes one wonder if he took anything off his taxes for maintenance on this house. How about depreciation.

Old Charlie is a crook, but thats ok because he is also a Democrat.

Being African-American and being a Democrat gives Charlie total immunity from any wrongdoing whatsoever.

NO - it is NOT OK for Charlie to be a crook because he’s a dem. Are you nuts? There’s only “two standards” in the minds of liberals. For us if a person steals it’s theft. Equal before the law. We don’t have “special - above the law” people in our country. Don’t parrot their filth, venturer.

Which GOP member will ask for the IRS to look into this massive tax cheating??? Maybe a class action suit from citizens? Is that possible?

That would be pretty cool... Charlie giving a pimp and a hooker tax advice on tape... :)

Well, until Rangel is prosecuted for his criminality, it appears that it is “Okay” in the eyes of the democrats.

If true, this is tax fraud — a willful attempt to evade taxes over multiple years.

It’s also OK in the eyes of crooks, ACORN members, pimps and most people sitting in jails. What does that have to do with anything?

I doubt Charlie would have a problem with the morals ... Beck should have waited until he had a couple hundred tapes... then he could shown them every day until the next election.

City Officials Stand Behind Rangel

By: NY1 News

mid calls for Congressman Charles Rangel to step down, local leaders offered their support for the beleaguered Manhattan representative Saturday.

Manhattan Assemblyman Keith Wright, former Mayor David Dinkins, former Bronx Borough President Fernando Ferrer and other elected officials gathered at the Harlem State Office Building to express their appreciation for Rangel’s work on behalf of the people of Harlem.

“We are here to say we stand by and support our congressman, who represents us with integrity and dignity,” said Wright.

“The people here and in support of Charlie Rangel and not to debate the allegations,” said Dinkins. “That’s for his council and the members of the [House] Ethics Committee to do.”

Pelousi is really stupid.

Since the dem control the house right now, Rangel would get a slap on the wrist and lose his chairmanship.

When the GOP regains control and power in 2012, Rangel will up to his neck in charges unless he retires

Charlie was actually using advice obviously given by ACORN to him. As a small business owner, Charlie was simply not declaring income exactly like Glenn Beck's ACORN film showed, INCOME TAXES? They don't know unless you tell them....
