DAYTONA BEACH -- Police in Daytona Beach are looking for an armed robber they say shot a young mother in her car while her infant daughter was in the backseat.
Wanquesha White, 19, told investigators she went to visit a friend on Jean Street Friday night when a man forced his way into her car.
She says he threatened her at gunpoint and stole $90. As he was leaving the car, he shot her in the leg. White's daughter was not hurt.
The gunman got away. However, Sammie Crooms, 27, was arrested and charged with being a principal to armed robbery.
